I have had a little play with my pastels and created this painting, which I shall use for this years Christmas cards. It’s the first time I have ever painted a hare.
This oil was painted last Thursday, on location, in the mountains above Farmers, Llanwrda. What a view!
I did a few finishing touches in the studio yesterday adding a little sunlight in the middle-ground and more grasses in the foreground, then finished off the sky as this had been put on very quickly to save time on the day.
I have just completed this painting of Llangrannog, painted on location last week and finished in the studio.
I am really pleased that my new website is now up and running, and what a fab job Barry, of W3designs has done. I hope you will agree that it is a good showcase of my work and very user friendly too.
During the month of August, I shall be taking part in a mixed exhibition of quality Welsh-made arts and crafts in Llansteffan Village Hall. The exhibition is open every day until the 20th August, from 11am to 5pm daily.
Included in the show, are ceramics, woodwork, silver jewellery, textiles, iron works, felting photography and stained glass. As well as a collection of my fine art prints and greetings cards, I am exhibiting a section of my original pastel and oil paintings of Llansteffan and local area.
I shall be there on Thursday 11th August, so if you are in the area, call in and say hello.
